This was soooo good!!! It was stressing me out to see all of these characters on the brink of death through the whole book. But in a great way. It has been almost a year since I read the previous book, so I was honestly a little confused at the beginning. It through us back into the storyline that it was hard to remember what was going on. This is the best book I have read in a while. I think they just keep getting better!!

This is one of my favourite series of all time, every book seems to just get better ?
Smile and Brimstone is no different, I won’t say too much as book three ended on a cliffhanger, but from the get go this book is non stop. But it’s perfectly done, the pacing is so fast but enjoyable, every damn chapter, every POV is so well written, i couldn’t put it down. There’s so much action, longing, emotion and love weaved into this book, you can truly feel the characters coming off the page.
I simply just adore Loren and Darien, but to be able to tie together a intricate magic system in an urban fantasy, multiple POVs and still build this beautiful found family and maintain that Loren and Darien are the main characters is so clever.
I can’t wait for you all to be able to read this and get back to Yveswich and Angelthene again.

Glad Kayla is taking a well deserved break after this release but oh my goodness i can’t wait for book 5, please never stop writing <3

What a rollercoaster! The emotional damage inflicted in this book was soul-shredding. I absolutely loved the character development. Getting to know these characters and feeling their bonds with one another makes me want to be one of their friends. There are so many twists and turns in this book that you can't figure out what way is up. Loren and Darien will always have my heart. It was challenging to watch their relationship struggle for so much of the book. But the on page struggle allowed other characters' relationships to bloom. Love this book, love this series. Keep them coming, Kayla Edwards!

The way I couldn’t put this book down! Kayla keeps you on the edge of your seat this entire time! Despite the dark start this wasn’t as soul crushing as the other books which was nice!
