I wanted to care. I wanted answers. I loved the earlier books in part because they made the characters feel real. This book was too many characters. Too many story lines and a lack of soul. I hate saying this. I really do. Finishing this book was painful.

i did not experience a single moment of peace while reading this, and i loved every second 💗 this grabbed me by the heart and didn’t let go. i love these characters so much! from malakai’s humor, to roman “don’t you dare stop” devlin 🙂‍↕️ each side character has formed such a strong identity within this series which fuels the found family, and overall emotional impact. this is by far the most addicting book i’ve read all year. the twists and reveals left my jaw on the floor, and my hand glued to my kindle for 48 hours straight 🤣

This book was so good, I couldn’t put it down. I loved going back into this world after the cliffhanger in book 3. The whole book keeps you stressed as everyone is trying to get to safety. I couldn’t get enough and I can’t wait for the next book.

THIS SERIES IS EVERYTHING TO ME!!! There was not a single moment of this book that I wasn’t on the edge of my seat, biting my nails, and sweating profusely. This book picked up right where the last one left off, so we were thrown into crazy situations IMMEDIATELY. I literally will not know peace until this series is finished.
I genuinely love all of these characters so much. Darien Cassel is forever THE book boyfriend. Loren is such a sweet angel baby, and I love that the author didn’t feel the need to turn her into a fighter. She’s soft but has her own strengths, and I love that. The Roman/Shay romance was INCREDIBLE in this book with so much yearning and tension. I absolutely love them. All of the other characters all hold such a special place in my heart too. The found family in this series is everything. And a character that really surprised me and warmed my heart? Roark Bright.
The plot in this is genuinely so good and so unique. I’m just as invested in the plot as I am in the characters’ relationships. This world is so intricate and has such strong world building.
