I was super excited for this book, and it did deliver somewhat. As readers, I think we were hoping to get some answers regarding the Arcane Well, or seeing Cyra and Erasmus stepping up and helping Loren, especially when the spell that prevented them from speaking about the Phoenix Head Society was broken but- I guess this will be covered sometime in the next book or two.

I did enjoy some of the plot lines and revelations - specifically love Roman and Shay and the whole process of finding Pax and escaping Yveswich. The cycle of Loren feeling sick, then being upset with Darien, and then regretting ignoring him is getting so old for me.

Either way, looking forward to the next book(s)!

I absolutely love this series and am gutted that I have to wait another couple of years for the next book. The ending wasn’t left on as much as a cliffhanger as I would have liked but I’m so excited for the next part of the series.
