Bayou With Benefits is a small town romance WITH all the benefits of a super sweet love story that stole my heart and wrapped it up in all the feels.
Michael LeClaire and Amelia Landry have grown up together, or more like their families have. Michael is five years older and when you are younger that age gap can feel like twenty years, but for both Michael and Amelia the moment they hit that magic age of noticing the opposite sex, let's just say they noticed each other. However, several obstacles always stood in their way and those secret crushes stayed just that...secret, until...I'm just going to say...until.
Bayou With Benefits is sweet, steamy, and also pretty emotional with this completely endearing couple. It's written a bit differently than Erin's past Bayou books, where she's woven the past, present and of course that always anticipated future epilogue, giving us a timeline that weaves together beautifully and we get to know Michael and Amelia in a different way, but it fit them perfectly as the story progressed.
While they seem to come from different worlds they are more alike than they both realize. He's a firefighter saving lives, along with being a single father. Whereas, Ami is a social influencer/model, and through her influence she has a powerful voice that has a way of helping people and there is one person who looks up to her that means more than anyone in the world, Michael's son, Andre. He's super sweet and their time together is amazing. I love anytime he's on the page, it's powerful.
The LeClaire and Landry families all make appearances throughout the book, which is wonderful. I love the big family feel within the small town atmosphere. It's always great to return home with characters that feel like family.

I was extremely excited when I learnt that our MMC for this book would be Michael, and we would finally get to meet Amelia.
After her tragic accident, Amelia decides to be closer to her sister and cousins, etc. to recover and ends up staying with Michael and his son, who is her favourite person.
Cue some tow curling high heat tension with some adorable and funny moments, and this book is beyond perfect.
I also loved how the book promoted body positivity in it.

Where do I even begin??? I mean I knew I would love the book because Erin Nicholas wrote it! But I couldn’t even begin to know how much!!
It’s funny. It’s steamy and spicy. It’s romantic. You would expect all of that in a book about a beauty queen/model & a hot, firefighter/paramedic single dad. But there’s so much more to it. Nicholas does an amazing job with all of it. Making the real life issues relatable and the feelings and emotions of all of it so real.

This was such a great read! I LOVED Michael and Ami together, and they had great chemistry. I knew there was going to be some difficulties with them getting together, but it was so great to see them overcome everything and make it work. Ami was an awesome heroine! I loved how strong she was, but she was always willing to see the other side of things. Michael was a great hero, and even though he always wanted to fix things, it was nice to see him realize he didn't always have to. Andre was a great kid, and I think he was a great addition to the story. As always, the Landry family is one of my absolute favorites in a book series. Leo and Ellie both gave some good advice in this one. I always look forward to those parts :) The ending was so sweet, and perfect for these characters. I can't wait for the next book in this series!

I have read nearly every single book this authors written, and I just don’t understand how each book continues to get BETTER. I thought the last book was but favorite, but THIS ONE was amazing!
Ami and Michael are such an interesting, entertaining couple. Ami is a model, lover of makeup, fashion, and… video games. Michael is a firefighter, paramedic, and all around amazing man. Together, they have some pretty big obstacles to overcome.
The story was the perfect amount of feelings— sadness, shock, humor, affection, and some serious lust. I absolutely loved it.

Awesome!
Michael & Ami had a lot against them to start with. After the car accident, they both knew it was time to make them work. I really loved that Ami was able to move to a new department within the makeup company that was all about empowering women with makeup vs covering up to hide with makeup. Love, love love!
