TBH I don't get the hype about this one because WTF did I just read? Honestly, this was not what I was expecting. I had a hard time getting through this one and the only reason I decided to finish it was because I needed answers to all of the questions. But the answers were so unrealistic that I wanted to throw my kindle across the room. However, I did not believe the romance between the couple and I could've used about 200 fewer pages.

Kinda liked the plot and the mystery, but hated literally all the characters. I didn't care what happened to them. This book was smut first and plot 2nd. I also hate FMC who try to act quirky or weird.

While I appreciated having the thriller/mystery threads in the plot, this book was too dark for me. I’m generally fine with dark themes, but need enough character development to buy in to the inevitable redemption arc. I found the  characters to be lack luster, and their connection unbelievable. And in some cases just ridiculous. Would have been a DNF for me if I wasn’t a completionist.
