I'm slowly wading into dark romance books and I'm surprised how much I liked this book. I thought the story line was fantastic as well as the spicy sex scenes. I'd highly recommend it.

I am speechless...this had me hooked! It was just the right amount of spice, but it is a WILD ride. If you like dark romance, this one is REAL dark, so please check the trigger/content warnings. None of this bothered me; however, much of this book left me gasping for air as I needed to know what was going to happen next.

he dips her head in shark infested water after he bites her lip and continues to f her while sharks try to eat her face off. Continues on to tell her “she’s nothing and never will b nothing” and more degrading shit while still wanting to fuck on her and she’s just like “I deserve to b sexually assaulted bc I steal credit cards” that’s the whole plot of this book.

Firstly the dedication 🤣🤣🤣 crack up!

Secondly, ahhhh.... all kinds of fucked up this one was, honestly. 
I was expecting a pretty wild read after reading Haunting & Hunting Adeline. But I liked those way better. 
This was predictable. I liked the book, but easily could have just not read it. 

BUT! Definitely gave the palette cleanser I was after between fantasy series, so served its purpose for me 🤣

Definitely check the trigger warnings. But as per usual for this writer, it seems the bad guys tend to get what's coming to them! So I mean that gives me peace reading this genre but may not be the same for others. Proceed with caution!

While I appreciated having the thriller/mystery threads in the plot, this book was too dark for me. I’m generally fine with dark themes, but need enough character development to buy in to the inevitable redemption arc. I found the  characters to be lack luster, and their connection unbelievable. And in some cases just ridiculous. Would have been a DNF for me if I wasn’t a completionist.
