Such a fun read and feels relatable with wanting your kid and family to fit into a new community. The magic aspects with it were a delight and the found family at the end made my heart happy, it takes a village and this book showed that.

If you've ever parented a small child, been frustrated with the politics of school social settings, or wondered how the magical community handles elementary-aged children, this book is for you. 

As a serial audiobooker, it takes a lot for a print book to pull me in and get me to sit and read with my eyes, but I was immediately captured and couldn't put this down. It felt so relatable on so many levels while still giving the fantasy element I prefer in my fiction. 

Excited to read more from this author. 

TW: there is a graphic description of a child being mauled by a wolf. It turns out fine, but as a mom, with this being told from the mother's point of view, it was very hard to read.
