I really liked the book and the setting and the themes,

but I just cannot read a book where an emotionally abusive husband gets normalised as marital issues: Daniel gets angry when Viviann doesn t agree with her, does not try to communicate or seek solution, but blames her for not doing that, deflects by talking about how she hurts him when she tells him how she feels. She internalizes this and her therapist...like good that she s going there... pretends that this is normal and healthy behaviour from Danials part. Jezus. No. Thank. You.
