Another perfect chapter in the life of private detective Charlie Parker. John Connolly never fails to deliver an exciting if slightly frightening tale from Portland Maine.  He enables you the reader through the brilliant characters to wonder about the afterlife and the possibility that not all souls pass as they should to the other side. Parker’s ability to see and speak with his dead daughter is not unbelievable. I was pleased that although late into the book Angel and my favourite Louis showed up for the final gunfight. I miss them when they are not around. Truly brilliant and this continues to be my favourite book series. Long may it continue.
