I went in blind with this one. I was just surprised the turn of events this "off the charts" steamy story unveiled. I look forward to more from Nikki.

"I've never been in love. maybe the reason it hasn't happened before is because I never felt ... complete. but I feel that way now with you both.”

It is so bad, I want to give you a zero. But that's not possible. So I give you a one!
What a disappointment. ( Rant Incoming)
Firstly I will say you could probably skip about half of this book and still be able to grasp what is going on because it is sex scene and after sex scene after sex scene.
I wouldn’t class this as a romance. I would class this as an erotica as I felt the romance was completely lacking specially when you think about the other two books and actually how incredible the romance were in them.
Lilith and Travis were villains in this story.
The main pillar of a BDSM Relationship or partnership is communication and both Travis and Clay would know this. They all had an agreement that everyone agreed to and Lilith and Travis disrespected, lied and Lilith cheated on Clay. But there was no repercussions for it.
The author made out like Clay was the one who was in the wrong! when actually no Clay was being pushed into a situation he didn’t agree to and he’d been lied too and not communicated with.
Lilith and Travis had no respect for him at all. And yet Clay was meant to be accommodating to everyone else and really Lilith was portrayed to have stronger feelings for Travis from the very first time they meet. And they would’ve known it the first time and should’ve spoken to Clay.
Lilith and Travis felt manipulative and straight up lied and used Clay. It felt disrespectful to BDSM community. And kinda put the idea that cheating can’t happen in those situations or they had not cheated it was Clay that put them in that situation and he was the bad guy. It also felt like they were being forced into a dynamic. Clay did not want to be in that dynamic and the author used the stereotype typical thought of our you love Travis because he’s your friend! It is a copout!
This made me so frustrated and I felt so bad for Clay. I just wanted him to break up with her and be like you know what, go and be with him because clearly you like him more than me and the book itself sent the message of her liking or seeming to like Travis more. We never got those cute moments with Clay or seeing her and Clay get to know each other , that frustrated me!
This felt like a book that the main character was just essentially cheating and the fact his one request was that they used condoms and they couldn’t do that disrespectful and frustrated me.
Then Travis trying to speak for Lilith and say Clay needs to get out the way. To then them both gaslighting Clay into a relationship. The first time she saw potential jealousy she should have had a conversation with Clay.
Fuck Travis and Lilith!
Clay get out of there!

So far my least favorite plot but my favorite spice. I just felt this one was way more spice and not enough plot! 4/5 ⭐️
Basically just porn. No plot no nothingggg
One of the better reads I’ve read about intro to BDSM play. Especially for the FMC’s introduction to it.
