Love how I said in my review of The Pool Boy that I was going to read the other books in the series and then proceeded to DNF my next read in the series. Like I literally stopped in the middle of the first sex scene🙃

(Honestly I think I’m just gonna quit the series altogether after this🥲)

Anyway, why I DNF’ed:

-I think I had different expectations for this book than what it was giving. Based on the description, I assumed the main characters (love the name Lilith for our MC btw) would be together already and the book would be more exploring the dynamic of adding a third person to the mix but it’s not

-Unlike The Pool Boy (the second book in the series) only Lilith’s POV was shown. Idk if Clay’s later comes up or maybe even Travis’ but I liked that better than just having the female MC have a POV (sometimes I like it, sometimes I don’t and it didn’t work in this book for me)

-There was just little things about the writing which I already had issues with in The Pool Boy that was not jiving with in this book. I’m sorry but I don’t think Nikki Sloane’s writing is that great.
That may seem a bit paradoxical for smut but erotica deserves good writing too😅

So…yeah. This didn’t work for me unfortunately.

This series keeps getting hotter and hotter. I swear to god this one almost made me combust!

There's not a whole lot of plot here, but the basic premise is a young sexy girl seduces her buttoned up older neighbor only to discover he's super into BDSM and is a total Dom. He takes her to a sex club and really broadens her horizons. She meets another sexy stranger there, who ends up being Clay's "stand-in" when he is away at work. He is the pleasure Dom though, while Clay likes being the pain Dom. It's all very hot and very naughty.

The audio is fantastic. I really prefer duet style and was pleasantly surprised to find that in this book. The narrators were new to me. Angelina Rocca has a sultry sexy voice and Brennan Landry does a great job making Clay and Travis sound different. He has a great voice that's sexy and dominant and I'm here for it. This book will be heavily featured in my reread list.
