This was a really fun listen and I really enjoyed it, I love Veek and I’m so glad that Clines brought her back. I wish that we got more time to meet and connect with the characters before stuff started to go off the rails, like we did in 14 and (to a lesser extent) The Fold. I had a good time though and I hope we get more books from the Threshold universe eventually.
Graphic: Blood, Violence, Death, Gore, Kidnapping, Gun violence, Murder, and Cursing
Moderate: Child death

A fun read, if at times predictable. It did rely on some of the same kinds of twists earlier novels in the series utilized, and I'll admit I'm getting a bit tired of multiverse McGuffins (though in all fairness, this series was started before the explosion of multiverse-concept fiction, so the McGuffins are at least ahead of the curve and probably felt more fresh when they were first published).
Graphic: Blood and Violence
Moderate: Child death
