This was a sweet book with a little black dress as the main character. It's the story of how one black dress impacted the lives of so many people. Clothing is important in the American culture, and to build stories around a dress shoes that impact. Lives are messy. But it's nice to find that one LBD that makes a moment in life perfect.

This is a spectacular collection of vignettes tied together by the titular dress, but it's so much more than that. Rosen presents each character vividly and with so much respect and love that you can't help but be completely engrossed in their tales and fall in love with them a little bit too.
This is sweet. Almost interwoven short stories around the same little black dress, a fun fast read, I read it in two hours while getting my nails done. 3.5 stars.
I loved this book. The right LBD can and does spawn wonderful stories. The patternmaker, the model, the actress, the shopgirls, rhe divorcee, the widower, the wannabe, and the betrothed.
This was just a fun story. Each chapter is told by a different character and many of the characters lap over into each other and they all have the "one" dress that weaves through their lives. Fun, fun, fun.
When the perfect LBD (Little Black Dress) hits the runway each year every woman wants it. The nine women in this book all experience the magic that a great dress can bring. I loved all of the NYC locations that are used and have been to all of them.
