honestly, i had pretty high hopes for this book after reading the teaser. unfortunately i felt like there was too many povs and it made it pretty difficult to follow.

only reason i’m giving it one star is because i did lowkey enjoy the mini plots about both the secretary and her boss and the detective with her client. what can i say? i love me some small town gossip. ;)

I can't believe it took me this long to come in and say I finished this. It was such a charming, light, yet poignant read following a single dress as it finds itself in the lives of (wait for it) 9 women. It was a more unique conceit that really worked. Also, I really enjoyed the audio experience. Looking forward to recommending!

Nine Women, One Dress is the story of the same little black dress and how it weaves through the lives of nine very different women. The story is told from nine perspectives and flows pretty seamlessly between them. The voices are easy to tell apart. A light read that has both a rom-com feel and a real love worth rooting for.

Definitely a chick-lit read so if you go into knowing it’s going to be cheesy it’s decent. The main problem I had was how much it bounced around between all of the people and the dress, which I know is the whole point, but a lot of their personal storylines and connections to the dress felt similar so it all just mixed into one and some just felt like boring fillers.

Light, fun, cute, poignant and a very fast read. It was the perfect "I've just finished a heavy, long novel and need a break" book.
