"My greatest pleasure was the enjoyment of a serene sky amidst these verdant woods: yet I loved all the changes of Nature; and rain, and storm, and the beautiful clouds of heaven brought their delights with them."

The reason I rate this book 5 stars is because it's a Mary Shelley book - it couldn't have been written by anyone else.
I cannot begin to describe my affection for Mary. Her writting is sublime, a religious experience in itself and I intend to read everything she ever wrote. Her writing and her books are all not only brilliant but they're also biographical. It's easy to detect the moments fiction mingles with her experiences. One can know so much about her by reading her books, she put her whole soul in it. And we're kindred spirits so I see glimpses of mine in them as well.
