love the concept, find it ironic that it's about a kid that hates 99% of books, often because they are too long, etc, and this book is very very wordy.

The message of this book is close to my heart: Reading is for everyone. Sure, not *everyone* loves reading for the sake of reading. But there is some kind of reading that will be meaningful to everyone. In this book, it's reading something you wrote yourself!

I love that the author wrote this about himself as a young boy who struggled to read, and how he eventually learned to love it. Any child that struggles with reading would enjoy this book, and used with other kids to show acceptance of others who are different from themselves.

Nice story, but I somehow felt that something was missing. Some details about how Mitchell overcame his reading struggles would be nice. It was a shame that a librarian and book seller could not help him.

I appreciated the forward, written by the author. Not all readers come to their reading journey easily. This story will be important for many readers to hear.

Reluctant readers often avoid books for the very reasons Henley shares in his story. I love how Henley learns how to share his story and find his favorite book in whole wide world. LOVE LOVE LOVE this story. Malcolm Mitchell is truly a literacy crusader. Excellent book to add to your library or give away as a gift.
