I really liked this one, it didn't let itself get bonged down. We're introduced to our characters we know there's some monsters, and the story smacks them together in record time. The only part of the book that's not excellent is the ending. The book just decides its over without any real conclusion or climax to the story. It felt like it needed two more chapters to finished up and set up for the next book but the author cut those out and probably put them in the next one.
Overall its good.

Entertaining like an action film. Set on Mars, with a very similar to Alien at times. Lots of gore and hideous creatures. None of it to be taken too heavily.

Scene with an infected person dragging their battered and torn body along the floor by one arm -
“…leaving a line of intestine, like a torn doll with the cotton pulling out…”
Three stars for that image alone.

Is the Cold War hot?

Oh yes, it's hot. Very hot. Hotter than Hell. Hell on Mars is a sick new series of sci-fi horror, and this opening salvo by Woodward and Foster is absolutely epic! Brutal, fast-paced with a fat gore-score and awesome creatures, I read the whole thing in two sessions. I can't wait for book two!

The first book in the Reality Bleed series, and an interesting start to a space horror. There are some lovely gory bits, and the book itself serves to set the scene that the other books follow. The narrator does a good job, and I shall finish the rest of the series.

As someone who never really reads science fiction, I wasn't sure this would be for me. I'm glad my apprehension was completely unfounded. Hell on Mars is the tale of the Perihelion crew who are sent to find out what happened when communications failed. Once they set foot on Mars, and get some electricity up and running, its fair to say that absolute hell breaks out.
I've seen this compared to other sci-fi stories like Doom or The Thing and while the comparisons are fair, I think it holds up in its own right. I loved the crew of Perihelion and and definitely looking forward seeing to what happens in the continuations.

Just finished Hell On Mars and gave it a 4.5 ⭐️. Was confusing a bit throughout with some tiny details but other than that, it was an amazing book. The author, @jzfosterauthor kindly send me the first three books in the series Reality Bleed for an honest review. The only thing I found confusing was the characters names throughout because people would be called by either their first or last name and would never stick to just a first OR last name. So it took my brain a few milliseconds to process and figure out who they were either talking with or talking about. Overall I was amazed at this book and sooo appreciative to the author for sending me them! Can’t wait to continue to series!

My 100th book read this year and it’s a good one. Hell On Mars is SciFi Horror set in outer space. Yep! 5 stars. It’s the first book of a 12 book series, Reality Bleed. It’s a short quick read of 128 pages. A cargo crew is sent to Mars because the scientist there are in distress. The crew is tight knit. They even play a game of strip poker
