Boss Lady
I’m glad to get another Regan Merritt book. She’s such a tenacious lead character. I love how she stays one step ahead of the bad guys. She trusts her skills and instincts. This book addresses who murdered her son. The journey to finding out the truth is twisty and fast paced. There are so many layers to the crimes. The action seemed to be nonstop from the very beginning. I was fully engrossed in the story. I’m really enjoying this series.

I think every single call-out I made about the first book was all tied up with this one, and it was SO satisfying. Great mystery whodunnit.

To me, this book was even more action packed than the first book, the sorority murder. I greatly enjoyed the action, and how the pace continue to increase without skimping on details that made the whole story come together. I could see this being a small miniseries about Reagan Merritt, because it was completely engrossing. I don’t read books for realism exactly, so if there were any mistakes in how something like this would really have have happened , it didn’t matter to me. I greatly enjoyed this story, and hope this isn’t the end of the series about this character.
I recently listened to the audiobook version of this book. I had been looking forward to it. I was left feeling slightly disappointed by the experience, as the story seemed to jump all over the place. The narrator's voice was also quite grating at times, in my opinion. I plan to read the author's other books in the series to see if I started off on the wrong foot. Despite the overall experience, I still believe the book is worth reading.
That book actually hurt my brain....there were so many names I had to remember, and I still have no idea who is hiring Nelson to kill!!! Someone, please help. And is O'dare a gurl or a boy
