Jamie moves back to Vancouver after he discovered that his mom suffers from panic attacks. When he gets there, his new hockey coach suggests that he gets an assistent to help him out with his daily tasks. But then his old high school crush shows up.
This is the second hockey romance I have ever read, so in my mind I, unintentionally, started comparing this to Icebreaker, which I loved. But this book was not Icebreaker. I did love it though. However, it wasn't 5 stars because, for me, the plot was not as extensive as it could have been. The spice on the other side was. But I think that the spice somehow overtook the whole plot. Because the plot that was there was absolutely amazing. I loved how his mothers panic attacks were incorporated or how Pippa dealt with her past. It was a really easy, quick book for me, which is perfect and everything that I want it to be.

I read this book in 3.5 hours…. It’s a good sized book but I flew through that! I am generally a fast reader but this one was super good. It kept me engaged the whole time, and didn’t fail to have me in my own book world
