I love this series. The kids show real emotions and there is a lot of character dynamics. Also the characters are a lot different from each other but they still are able to be united and help one another.
Characters continued to grow and there are some interesting developments in Michael specifically. But he makes some decisions that seem like unlike him and the plot kind of meanders. Jade Dragon is basically just a mcguffin at this point. Will be reading the next to see how everything plays out.
Another great nonstop thrill ride adventure! That ending wasn’t fair though! Definitely the biggest cliffhanger of the series so far! I’ll be starting book 5 after I read a few other books.

Really good book one of my favorite in the series. Their mission makes sense and is one of the fastest books in the series.
OH MY GODDD. THIS BOOK. I CAN'T. BRUH this book was soooo good. I don't even know where to start right now oh my goodness.
Okay well first off I definitely enjoyed yet again how strong and steady the series is going as a whole. There was a lot more development and explanation of the history and the "why" of everything that happened, and I'm glad for that because usually stories like this never actually have an actual logical, scientific explanation, you know? I'm happy this book did—it just makes everything feel more real.
The storytelling was phenomenal as usual, immediately pulling me in and making this 319 page book WAY too short. I just wanted to read more at the end!
Michael's voice really shone through this book, and I am more attached to these characters now than ever before. Whenever somebody was getting hurt, especially during one specific scene (*SADNESS FACE*) I literally turned away and hid my face in my pillow because it was so hard to read. It was like it was real, playing out right in front of me, and I applaud Evans yet again for evoking that much emotion from a reader.
I also really liked how well Evans portrayed the theme of redemption and how he showed it through the characters. He practically told the readers that bad people can always become good in the end, and I think that's a great lesson for kids to learn that people are not ALWAYS going to be bad or good. They can change.
As for the characters, I was greatly satisfied to see so much more characterization in Michael and the rest of the Electroclan. You learn heaps more about them as just the teenagers they are as well as their powers, and it was intriguing to read about them.
After the ending, I just wanted more. I couldn't believe Evans would end it right there. The cliffhanger definitely got me and made my feels just explode. (But at least I didn't bawl in this book at all like I did during the third book haha)
I rate the book a solid five stars like it deserves, and I HIGHLY recommend this series! The first book is called The Prisoner of Cell 25!

Although this 4th book started off of little slow this is still a solid series. As the story progresses and the characters finally start their mission the book has some fun twists that keep the reader turning the pages. The cliffhanger ending will leave readers hungry for the next installment in this series.
