A brilliant book, in many ways. I really need to go back someday and re-read it. It's an intricate story of loss and survival in a brutal world. It's heartbreakingly detailed.

Really enjoyed this one- I'd hate to sound cliche but it's really a long trek. The Road at times can come off as pretty monotonous but that's the exact tool and narrative that Cormac McCarthy works best with, so you become totally soaked in the world. Needless to say- I was happy when I accomplished the book, set it down to see color again.
