Not for me. No point. Maybe it's too deep for me but I am glad it is over.
“On their backs were vermiculate patterns that were maps of the world in its becoming. Maps and mazes. Of a thing which could not be put back. Not be made right again. In the deep glens where they lived all things were older than man and they hummed of mystery.”

I love this book. It’s beautiful, even at its ugliest moments.
This was a tough one to rate. Not an uplifting book by any means! Despite the dark nature of the story it still pulled me along and I was invested in the characters. The writing style is definitely minimalist -- little punctuation and short, clipped sentences. Somehow it worked pretty well. I would have liked to know what happened to the world, but it's the author's prerogative to retain some mystery.
LONG ROAD. cried while reading it on a plane a few times.
