Bardzo intensywna opowieść, mimo że tak naprawdę niewiele się w niej dzieje. Przez całą opowieść czuć wszechogarniający niepokój i strach. To książka stojąca klimatem i przesłaniem, a nie fabułą, wielkiej fabuły tu nie ma - ojciec i syn przemierzają postapokaliptyczny świat, próbując jakoś sobie radzić. Nie ma tu wielkich bitew, pościgów, niesamowitych opisów walk - jest droga. Mi język McCarthyiego nie przeszkadzał, podbijał tą grozę i klimat, ale początek był nieco trudny.
Nie zachwyciła mnie jakoś wybitnie, bo i chyba ten motyw już był tyle razy wykorzystany w filmach, że o zaskoczenie ciężko, ale doceniam ją i będę o niej myśleć.
