3.5? I don't know how I feel about this book.

A zippy little master cleanse for the soul!

"And though the night is cold, we'll carry the fire
And though there's no way home, we'll carry the fire

And when my body's cold, you'll carry the fire
And when I'm finally home, you'll carry the fire."

One of the many great burdens of humanity is our capacity for love and compassion in correlation to our own mortality.

What happens when those feelings are tested, the happiness and joy is pushed into pain and tragedy? When we lose a loved one, there is no greater heartache. Our guides, our muses and our creators eventually leave this Earth and it's cruel how we, given such zealous hearts, have to go on without them. We never feel ready.

But we manage. We have for centuries. That resilience balances out the fragility of our own emotions. Even when there is little hope, no destination and no one to love, we can always find the strength to move forward. It's a tremendous gift. Even if we don't know it, we're always burning, always alight, ready and able to carry the fire.

very uplifting!
