This is by Jane Fallon, which mean's it's automatically hilarious and insightful, but probably my least fav so far of her books. Getting Rid of Matthew is great, Foursome is fantastic, and then this ranks somewhere around or a bit below Got You Back.

What I like about her other books is how you meet a character and they may seem insufferable - but ultimately you get to know them better and understand their motivations, so there aren't really any good guys or bad guys. This book seemed to have much less subtlety. That being said, I really liked the portrayal of the three children in this book - Tara, Megan and Phoebe were all lively and believable and you just want the best for all of them.

Very entertaining, nice premise, nice love line. I love the decision the protagonist made. A little bit of a shame that it's open-ended but I think maybe it is best to leave it that way. Always love Jane Fallon's works!

I broke down and read this in paper format as I couldn't get it in e-version. It was not as good as I had hoped but still worth having to remember my own page number and turn pages manually. ;)

There were some frustrating moments but the fact that it wasn't all tied up in a neat little bow at the end saved it for me.

All in all - good vacation, chick lit read.

I have loved all of Jane Fallon's other books so was eager to give this one a try. The storyline is good and captures the readers attention, I throughly enjoyed it until I reached the end. I was expecting all the problems and dramas to be resolved by the end of the book, however it is very anti climatic and in fact ends in a huge cliffhanger with no clues as to what future lies ahead for the characters.
Very frustrating!!
All in all though a good read.

Well firstly i am disappointed at how i have had to rate this book.
I loved it the entire way through but the abrupt ending totally ruined it for me.

I loved the character of Abi. There were moments where she had me laughing out loud especially the scenes with her nieces. I really liked Jon too, my only real issue with his character was where the whole book was written from Abi's perspective and I would have liked there to have been more depth and thoughts behind his character and his thoughts and feelings. Her nieces were adorable and made me smile when reading, was fab to read their character development. Now Cleo (what a cow?!) was every bit how I thought she would be, spoiled, vain, self-obsessed and basically just a bi**h!. Unfortunately she doesn't get any better throughout the book and in the beginning I really wanted Abi to grow a backbone and tell her what's what.

Now the love story part - its actually a very small part to the book and usually I really would have frowned upon it but nothing actually happens and trying to be a good sister Abi denies how she feels about Jon and refuses to do anything with the feelings. This part of the book could have gone wrong but it was written extremely well and tactfully and it really made me feel for them. Cleo was a cow to Jon and she most definately didn't deserve him.

I think what also made me love this book was that the sisters grew up in Ashford, Kent where I also grew up and them talking how various places there and the town really bought back memories for me :-)

This was the first Jane Fallon book I have really enjoyed, I have read more of hers in the past but so far I would have to say this was my favourite.

My only real critism is that the ending was extremely abrupt and it didn't even feel like an ending. Maybe that was the point because the characters were all starting afresh but it would have been nice for the story to have been a little longer.

7/10 from me, would have been an 8 if not for the ending.
