I really enjoyed this book. While it was simple and straight forward in its writing and thematics, it really struck a chord with my mostly-millennial aged female authors book club. While we didn’t have so much to discuss about the book and writing more than basics, we spent so much time speaking about life, societal pressures, friendships after school, and more. The conversation brought us to some very deep rooted concerns in all of us, and isn’t that part of what we want and expect from good literature? More than to just entertain us but to also make us think and feel and discuss about how we exist and are conditioned? Quite impressed in how much this simple book brought out in all of us.

I actually wish it was longer. Although I feel satisfied with what I read I wouldn’t have minded if it kept going for a bit longer.

I loved this! It was relatable (I will not elaborate) and I had a great time reading it, too. Funny and low-stakes but also profound in it's own way. Touched on interesting truths of society.
