Something everyone should read
It was so beautiful and raised so many questions that are unable to be answered. It handled the holocaust in a striking way and was open and honest about the uncomfortability on profiting off of generational trauma

Read for a second time for essay in January: I can’t recommend this book enough!!

Wow. I'm speechless. I'd wanted to read this for so long, and it exceeded every expectation I had. Such a raw story. Very emotional and thought-provoking. I don't understand how and why this has been banned in some places – in no way could this book ever promote n*zism in a good way. Everyone should read this; massive content warnings for everything related to the Holocaust and WW2 though. Still, very important.

These two books were amazing. You can really see that Art Spiegelman put hours upon hours of thought into portraying his father’s story and it just makes the story conveyed so much more powerful. Amazing books, definitely recommend (these are a bit graphic, especially in Maus II, so I wouldn’t recommend for younger people. These books were assigned to me for school in my third year of high school.) Very well written and drawn.
