One of the best books I’ve ever read! Hands down. It has stuck with me ever since I first read it in college, and I will recommend it to anyone interested. Once in a while I remember this book and start reflecting on it again. I could write a thesis on how Spiegelman utilized masks and social roles this book - so impactful. It is deeply emotional and will change you on a deeper more personal level, whether holocaust is something that has affected you or interests you or not.
