A great introduction to the authors writing!!!

Vance had it rough from the beginning. Once tragedy hit, he just went in a downwards spiral. I think at a point in time he was so used to marinating in his own trauma that it eventually took over his life. Mentally, physically and emotionally he didn’t care about anything . He got into some trouble and the only way out, was for him to work at the same location as Novah. Lucky for him, she had a healing heart that yearned to restore life into him. He built up these walls that Novah wanted to break down. Never taking heed to her fathers warnings, she did anyways because she had no clue why he was sent to work there to begin with. Eventually she showed him that life was worth living and the two were inseparable. I believe being in the presence of Novah daily brought the best out of him. She was a joyous character regardless of her terrible past relationship. Her father was annoying to me. But of course, he was just trying to protect his daughter with the little information that he did find about Vance. I thought this book was a good for it to be Indigo’s first book
