The writing style is excellent for a murder mystery—great imagery without being pretentious. But the subject was too gruesome for my taste and I was somewhat disappointed with parts of the ending. Also, the audio book was terrible; all of the women (voiced by a male narrator) sounded whiny and indistinguishable. So, someone with a stronger constitution who likes murder mysteries and doesn’t listen to the audio might like this a lot.

I ate this. I was a little disappointed with the unresolved case at the end. But I loved Cassie. And I loved the way she talked to Ryan. Ryan was less loveable. The sociopaths throughout and children disappearing throughout was great. But the dialogue was to die for. "Shut up or i'll call the poice!" "we are the police" I want a friendship like cassie's and ryan's...as messed as it is.
