It was interesting to read a book set in 2007. It was a LONG book, and I wasn't particularly invested in the investigations enough for the book to hold my interest.

I thought it was a little unrealistic that the main character was able to hide his past identity so well.

not really sure how i feel about this? wouldnt have picked it up if i knew IT WAS A SIX BOOK LONG SERIES. leson learnt: never pick up books at libraries without prior research.
i didnt like how its written in the past tense, made things seem detached, also not a fan of male POVS's. But i like murder crimes so i did enjoy the plot.
did cassie and sam really have to get engaged though? that felt so blehhhhh since what happened between them couldve been resolved i guess? idk
it did, however, give me a new found interest in psychopaths.
