Talk about ssslllooowwwww! I LOVE every thriller I’ve read by Preston, but this one was rough for me to get through. It didn’t get interesting and start to pick up until chapter 20! After that, it was a very good story!

I honestly have no idea why people dislike this book so much.
Yes while I understand where people are coming from when they say it’s not uncommon to not remember your early childhood. But it’s not like she grew up and gradually lost it. She lost her memory due to a traumatic event. If I one day just woke up and forgot everything I would be pretty confused to.
Now for the insta love thing. I will admit it was not Natasha finest couple. I personally did not like how they fell in love within the first few pages but I do understand it. I think she meant for the first few chapter to be days apart so she could get into the actual plot of the story. The plot wasn’t their love it was the fact that she was trying to gain her memories back and then the was kidnapped by them and had to escape. She had to speed up their love story so she could get into the actual main part of the story, I do think there could have been a better way to go about it but I understand it.
If you can get past the insta love part, it really is an amazing book.

Vaya mierda de libro. Poco más y les faltaba añadirme a Frankenstein.
Yo no entiendo nada, yo de momento no conozco a absolutamente nadie que se acuerde toda su infancia, yo creo que esta chica no tiene poderes y con un bidibi badibi bu va a recordar absolutamente todo.
Yo entiendo que sí mucho dramatismo, buah, que malota. A ver, no se si a la pobre muchacha la pagan por ser tonta, quien le pide a salir a un RANDOM que conoce de hace 3 días salir, no se a ver, deja que fluya. Igual, no se porque la tía tiene tanto entusiasmo, hija te vas a morir, que quieres hacer? No se, yo si se que voy a morir, no busco más mi muerte.
Es que ya no se ni por donde cogerlo, no entiendo de donde se ha sacado la idea de una secta satánica que alaba a Dios con una idea ultra veganista. Que cojones? No entiendo. Solo falta que vengan los unicornios y maten a todos.
Salen padres adoptivos, una hermana pérdida, un hermano pirado, gente random que te la sacan hasta del culo. Un poco más y me autoincluyo hasta yo en el libro. Es que por dios, no entiendo nada.
Igual, es una secta SATÁNICA, si satánica y alaban a Dios? Pero pero pero, es como si yo trabajo en una campaña para veganos y promover el veganismo y me como una chuleta en medio de la campaña.

This is the second book I’ve read this year that turned out to have a cult in it. The hints at the beginning made it so it wasn’t much of a surprise. I thought the parents of Scarlett were awfully trusting of Noah especially based on their past. The ending wasn’t a surprise. I was kind of annoyed that the author kept going back and forth between her being fifteen and sixteen. That seems like something that should have been caught with a beta reader and during editing. Maybe they weren’t able to remember how old they made her.
