OH MY GOD??? The way this spicy book helped me think about my own faith journey was totally unexpected but very welcome. Spice is a 3.8/5. Characters are a 3/5. Story is a fun and tropey 4/5. Chemistry is a 4.5/5. I’m already excited for the rest of the trilogy. This was one of those books where I wanted to read more than I wanted to eat or sleep. very fast read regardless. Just lovely and relatable and HOT.

I haven't read a book this bad in a very long time. It feels like some 13 year Olds fanfiction they published. It is the same thing over and over repeated with no deep plot or building or situation around them.

i don't relate to 'growing religious' trauma, i don't have a virginity kink, so it's not for me.

idea sounded cool - that's why i'm here - but the execution is meh. it's short but it feels too long, i can't proceed.

The pining in the beginning was super cute, but then there was a quick reward, a mess of a miscommunication (they were saying and wanting the same things but purposely misunderstanding each other and doubting that the other meant what they said) and a very fast pace and underdeveloped ending. There was potential there, but it needed at least 100 more pages of development. And more smut reward for all the pining and longing

Heading from purity culture trauma
This is the book so many of us need. I have had to do a lot of healing from the damage of purity culture and I really identified with the main character of this book. This is a really sweet story about facing fears, healing from trauma, coming to terms with the humanity of our parents, breaking toxic cycles, evolving on our own personal journeys and risking love. Well done.
