I have mixed feelings. I'm not sure if the writing was my style and the heavy focus on religion is not something I'm used to. I didn't rate it though because it felt clear to me that the author used this book as a catharsis to work through some of her feelings and experiences with purity culture and honestly I really liked that aspect so I wasn't sure how to rate this one.

I think this book was probably incredibly therapeutic for the author whose forward expressed she had a toxic history with religion and purity culture and I’m sure anyone else who went through something similar would relate heavily to this book and really like it but it just wasn’t for me personally. I couldn’t relate to it and I felt like because of that I was not at all invested in the characters and honestly didn’t really like either one of them. Cole was overbearing and his character made no sense. I hated the storyline with his parents it felt too on the nose. Livvy’s relationships with her sister and best friend and dad were all strange to me too. Her dad was a lot and so was her sister and her best friend was really a lot and didn’t honestly feel that supportive. Idk it just wasn’t for me.

I have the pleasure of. Arc reading this story and gods skyler doesn't disappoint. I may not have grown up purity culture but i could relate to it as i grew up in Hispanic/Catholic house hope and i feel seen. Daddy Cole is just to Die for and livvy is definitely a woman after my own heart. You will get sucked in and not want to put it down. This 18+ Friends to love COLLEGE ROMANCE. You wont reget reading

This was a super easy and quick read!

I enjoyed the character development throughout but just didn’t feel like the writing was ultimately for me.

Cole is very possessive and Livvy was very insecure and by the end this was better. But I just wish I could of had more.

it was a quick read.. I’m a sucker for friends-to-lovers with a jealous MMC, so I was able to bypass the deep (sometimes excessive) Christian plot points. though it was repetitive, most of it was used to establish the FMC and her actions without feeling like it was being pushed onto the reader too much. I just don’t think it helps set the mood for a romance novel. the likelihood of me continuing the series is very low.
