Great book, a compelling read. The author is amazing at making characters feel distinct. There are some great hilarious moments and some absolutely heartbreaking ones.

This book was so cozy and lighthearted. The cast of characters were so endearing, and I loved the myriad of mysteries that popped up as red herrings throughout the book. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this series!

Definitely pick this one up if you:
  • Enjoy slow burn mysteries
  • Character-driven novels
  • Midsomer Murders & other English cozies

3 hours 42 minutes - I really liked the writing style of this - it was written in a way that often appeals to me. However, I found the ending slightly disappointing, as a lot of the twists seemed to have little build-up, but I enjoyed the overall reading experience nonetheless.
