I found this book well written and compelling to read. Unfortunately, it suffers from the idea that a mystery/thriller can be built solely on misdirection. This book would have benefited from some consolidation, but the author felt like she couldn’t show her hand until the very end and had to spin out every possible motive and culprit. By that point, the reader is exhausted and the closing revelations don’t feel earned.

This book plateau's a bit in the middle plot-wise, but the rich characters completely make up for it! Totally fulfilled my need for a gripping read, bonus points that it featured a summer camp and the 70s (two vibes that I really get sucked into)
