It's supposed to be a thriller maybe? A who done it read. But I lacked the intensity of suspense. It was more a slow roll of, oh no, moments.

This is not the type of thing I would normally read, but I am glad I did. At some point in the book, I was kind of getting tired of all the time changes and it didn't feel like the story was progressing, but once I got to about 70%, I couldn't put the book down.

Not sure necessarily why it says it's set in the 1960s and 1970s-maybe to set the stage for gender roles and available technology. It was a compelling read, but I wasn't blown away by it.

I thought this was a really well written story -  I could see readers who loved Where the Crawdads Sing really enjoying this one for some reason I can’t quite place. I really did enjoy the story line although I wasn’t attached to any character. I am a known hater of multiple POVs and fair warning if you are similar: there is a LOT of POV and timeline jumping in this one. But the author is clearly talented and I appreciate when an author can make/help me visual the moments I’m reading

A good mystery spanning decades and following multiple perspectives.

I liked it and would recommend. The end went off the rails a little bit, but not enough for me to be mad about it. Definitely some parts where you might need to suspend disbelief. I enjoyed it while I was reading it, but I don't know if this is a book that the details will stick with me if someone were to ask me questions about it. I listened to the audiobook for the first 75% and once I got my hands on a physical copy, it made the story a bit easier to follow since there were so many timelines and character perspectives that switched throughout the story.

Decent book, but it does get unnecessarily overwhelming with the amount of characters, perspective shifts, and time shifts, which muddles the story. Otherwise, a good read.

Not normally into mysteries but I really liked this one, although it was in a way quite sad. Told from many different perspectives, maybe one too many haha. The author did a good job of jumping time constantly while still keeping us in the plot.
