I don't really understand why this was given such a high rating. I feel like I was missing chapters. The characters could have been so much more but you have Italian sister wife that had no life before becoming a vampire, Spanish sister wife who was ambitious but became submissive when she became a vampire, everyone obsessed about how young he is Russian brother child husband. And Dracula is their passive yet mildly abusive master who really enjoys uncomfortable power dynamics and lying to his partners because CLEARLY they aren't equals. He's obviously such an alpha male.
This was weird. It was presented to me as horror but it became hot topic goth that desperately wanted to try to be Anne Rice erotica. Not my cup of tea. The characters were all diminished to sex objects and I can only handle so much smut before I get bored. I got bored. I'm so grateful this wasn't longer because I would probably not finish it.

This is a book that weaves vampires into an all too harrowing depiction of an unbalanced relationship in such a way that you can believe it had truly happened.
It’s not a fast, horrific novel, but rather all too real, and the cast of vampires feel all too human for me to resist reading another chapter.
