I mean, it isn't the show, which I suppose it would be dumb to expect it to be. But at the same time, I could have done without the transphobic story that was in there. Also, wow @ the translation lol.

Don't take this rating as an indication for the quality of the anime because this manga and the anime are VERY different.
This manga is just 3 or 4 separate stories involving the Bebop crew and has no relation to the anime. It's assumed you already know the characters as there's no introduction or anything so if you want to get into Cowboy Bebop please watch the anime first, it's sooo good!
There were loads of typos/editing mistakes which honestly made it hard to read in places. The stories were fine but I wasn't really into them. I'm reading the second one now though and enjoying it more.

I saw the anime first and began reading the manga. Let me tell you. AMAZING! For any beginner getting into manga or anime, this is a great story to start with (especially if you liked the show Firefly!)

I was first introduced to anime when I was had a lot of free time on my hands — freshman year of college. And, surprise surprise, my first experience was Cowboy Bebop. A friend thought it was a good place to start; she was right. I watched all 26-episodes in about 3 days.
Enough backstory. This manga contains 4 stories:
IT'S SHOWTIME:: I think this is a good way to get into the the story. You met most of the gang, Spike, Jet, Faye and Ed and get to experience their crazy dynamic of working together and the hijinks that ensue.
WE WILL ROCK YOU:: I liked this story. It was really sad, their bounty's story. All of pain, just to be loved and admired.
CHEAP TRICK:: This was another cute story. Faye always kind of annoyed me, so I kind of like it when things don't quite go her way...
BLACK DIAMOND:: I think this is a good way to get into the the story. You met most of the gang, Spike, Jet, Faye and Ed and get to experience their crazy dynamic of working together and the hijinks that ensue.
