Definitely the worst of the Slime light novels. The way Rimuru describes Milim (and acts around her) is gross, sexualizing, and uncomfortable. Rimuru fumbles through his social interactions moreso than usual. Some new characters are introduced with very little explanation or backstory.

My thoughts on the third volume of the light novel of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken) by Fuze and Mitz Vah.

The story: The Jura-Tempest alliance (federation) gets some very unexpected visitors, it gets the attention of some kingdoms and they start investigating them. By the second half of the book a calamity level monster attacks Rimuru (town)

Enjoyment:
The best volume so far, it was full of technical stuff, political covenants, alliances, magic, adventure, dealing with very powerful and influential people, and fighting a monster so powerful that it could have destroyed the entirety of the Jura forest

Final verdict:
It's as fun to read as the other volumes, it was filled to the brim of world and character building, the politics and town development where really the best of it and I can't believe all the things that happened could fit in just one volume 9/10

Wow, not a fan of the cover, lol, decidedly pervy for such a mild light novel. Third one of this series I've read, very litrpg. I like the mc. He's just a decent middle aged dude. He's not an ass, a jerk, particularly pervy, mopy or battle crazed, nor overcome w drama. Just a decent dude trying to get buy and occasionally enjoy life in a new world. He often goes out of his way to be kind and or de-escalate conflicts. Felt like a fresher take on the rather worn out isekai genre. I like the series as a whole so far.

Without getting into spoilers, differences from the anime to the light novel, or anything like that: this story keeps up the quality that you expect, and is worth continuing the series for. Not a fan of the cover, but good story otherwise.

This series has really improved and I'm enjoying it so much more. It went from a silly gimmicky-seeming isekai manga to a solid fantasy story.
