Another beautiful addition to the urban fantasy that KD Edwards crafted. I love this installment of the series (the next generation of The Misfit Throne) and I loved seeing the story of the Hourglass Throne told through the escapades of the children!! It's so worthwhile, shocking and informative!

So many new revelations were made and I'm so excited to know all of these cool details, that our main character has yet to know.

So many questions in my mind as well, like Queenie?? Omg! The importance of Lord Fool! Anna's aspect, and even the upcoming future of my fav besties, Max and Quinn
God I love this found family so much.

I also cannot wait for the Misfit Throne to be released in 2026. That year cannot come faster :") ugh probably one of my favorite book universes in this whole year!

A wonderful companion novel to The Hourglass Throne where we hear from the younger members of Sun Estate in their own voices for the first time. New pieces of information that Rune doesn’t know makes this essential reading for all TTS fans.
I love the map of Atlantis and the stunning cover artwork. The glossary is especially useful when coming back to the series.
For the most thrilling ride, best read together with THT.

*staring into space searching the meaning of my life now that I ended this and have to wait for the sequels*

Btw, why do I find myself reading KD Edwards's books being scared by any suspicious sentence, knowing that anything can be used against the readers in the future?

Moreover, I was not mentally prepared for any of Quinn's chapters.

I have multiple questions, and I cannot make it here.
The book is pretty amazing.
Max, Quinn, and Anna are awesome.
I wanna see more about them.
I want our mysterious four to come ALREADY! I wanna see the change in dynamic that can happen.
I want more Lord Fool, I want dragons being mystical and stuff.
Overall, pretty freaking awesome.
AHHHH! I already want the next installment, and it's not even out on kindle yet.
Sincerely,
ILOVEREADING

Honestly I only read this for a bit more insight into the concurrent events that happen during The Hourglass Throne. It was good and we followed Quinn, Max, and Anna.

I really like Quinn and Max. Anna is still growing on me. I had a few ‘aha’ moments while reading it and some suspicions from the Tarot Sequence series were confirmed, but there are also some new questions I wouldn’t have had if I didn’t read this, so that’s exciting!

Seems like it’s listed as a new series (Magnus Academy) though even though there’s a forward from the author that this is definitely extra for the Tarot Sequence. Just a heads up to anyone who comes across this book and thinks they can jump in - you gotta read the first three books of the Tarot Sequence first.

I was skeptical about this book, I'm not going to lie. I enjoy the kids, particularly Quinn, but an entire book from their perspective just didn't hold a lot of interest for me. And while this definitely can't measure up to the Tarot Sequence books themselves, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I did in fact enjoy this quite a lot! And there were some twisty turns that definitely made it worth the read. :) Very glad I took the chance on it!

We learn so many informative things about Max, Quinn, and Anna in this story. It was great to find out what happened to them when they were kidnapped and at Magnus Academy. I love how all of them are beginning to understand themselves and their roles.

Loved getting to know some secondary characters, who I think might have a larger role in future books. (I'm starting to take notes, just in case.)
