The characters were a bunch of rich white ladies with rich white lady problems. They were so unrelatable it was a bit ridiculous. Was hoping this would be a nice, quick, cozy mystery for in-between my bigger fantasy. Unfortunately had to give up in it. At least it was free.

This was a great read. Good mystery and plot and a wonderful array of characters in a small local town in the Midwest. Book 2 comes out in 2026. I hope it is as good as this one.
