Gosh did shit it the fan in this one

5 stars - It was amazing

I think that this book was a perfect follow on from Baptism of Fire (which, so far, is my favourite book in the series - so the expectations were high).

In past books, I really did not enjoy following Ciri as much as Geralt. I thought that her chapters were really slow moving and kinda boring. But this book has completely changed my mind! I just devoured Ciri's chapters in this book. Learning her story was so sad, yet so intriguing.

I also enjoyed Geralt and Yennefer's chapters just as much as I did in previous books. There was more action, more politics, and more monster fighting. I loved it.

I feel like all the threads are starting to come together in this book, and I'm really happy to see where this series is ending up.

I have high hopes for the final book Lady of the Lake!

I did not think this book was amazing by any stretch of imagination though . It felt like it didn’t know what it wanted to do or what it wanted to continue. This was a mediocre book. It had it’s moments but I felt like the book tried to hard. With its fake outs. The plot meandered the POV was to many. Than the ending was crazy. Overall this just felt mediocre at best in what seems to be good immersive universe. I hope in Lady of the Lake. Everything is resolved and nothing is left unresolved.
