The epic tale of the Witcherverse continues! As usual, Sapkowski's unconventional narrative structure shows here. Sometimes Ciri will be recounting her story, then the story will jump to a person giving testimony at a trial, then we'll hop somewhere around, till we visit all the important members of the Witcher world.

Not that it's not skillfully done and masterfully written. It's just a lot of Game-of-Thrones level intrigue to hold in one's head. There's even a section where Sapkowski goes into the history, economics, and politics of one of the kingdoms in the story before bringing in their cool king and queen, masterful at courtroom politics

It's fun, but sprawling and complicated
