HOLY CRAP. Simone St. James did it again. This was utterly amazing and just pulled me in and I couldn't stop reading until it was over. HOLY. There is mental health, a spooky thing happening, a bit of a romance coming forth, scary house, a mystery that goes back years, and more. The MC was very interesting and because of everything I just wasn't sure at times if she was making it up.. or if things were really scary and haunted. I just devoured it in one sitting. I had to keep on reading. I had to know. I loved the various side characters (well except that one cop that needs a slap on his head).

This was a super creepy audiobook, in true Simone St. James style.

I usually love Simone st. James books, but I was really disappointed with this one. It was way too much like women in the window, with a bit of the yellow wallpaper thrown in. I listened to the audiobook and I thought the narration was fine, but the general storyline was nothing memorable or original. The only positive over women in the window, was that the writing was better.
I’d skip this one and read another one of Simone st James books instead.

I love Simone St. James even though this ended up not being a favorite. This started out very Woman in the Window-y and that turned me off, but by the end she does her thing and delivers a good ol' ghost story. This would be a good night time or spooky season read.

It was a good read. Solid mild of the road as far as ghost stories go. Good writing and enjoyable.

This book reminded me why I prefer full-length books to novellas. It had a great setup but I wanted more and the shorter length made the story feel rushed and incomplete.
