I listened to this as an audiobook and that is really the only reason I finished it. I thought it was very cute at first, but the main character got … strange as the book went on. I just don’t really know if I would have pushed through to read this is I had a physical copy.

This was a feel-good, Hallmark movie esque Holiday romance that sees a movie producer trying to convince the mayor of a small, picturesque, rural Quebec town to let her film her holiday movie there.
Full of great enemies to lovers tension and tons of small town charm, this was great on audio read by new to me narrator, Amelia Sargisson.

This is the first book I finished in 2024. The only reason I got it was because it was on libro.fm for free and because it has a husky on it. It happened one Christmas is about a girl who doesn't know what she wants in her personal life but she does know what she wants in her work life. She goes to Canada to find the prime spot for the movie she wants to make and finds some difficulties while she there. The main guy is the mayor of the town and doesn't want her to shoot her movie in his town and he makes it as difficult as possible. The problem I had with this is that the characters felt bland to me. I felt like there were no stakes even when trapped in a snowstorm it didn't make me worked. There was a few scenes with the husky in it though.
