3 ⭐️ I can’t lie I thought this book was quite boring because Penny’s and Rafe’s crushes on each other spiralled so quickly and out of control when I felt like they’d only said two words to each other. I mean I get why they are so drawn to each other - the idea of luck and fate, mixed with doom - and how they act so different to other people as masks, but I thought it was rushed. I got to the end and I was like oh that’s it? They haven’t kissed or fallen in love? Then I realised that the third book in this series is the duet so i’m happy. I hope the next one is better, because i’m rooting for them.

DNF I’m sure the book is fine. I mean the fmc is a red head for goodness sakes. That’s usually my kryptonite but I am NEVER able to get into the book about the “pretty” mafia brother. Like ever. Christian from the Made series, Nero from the Brutal Birthright series and now this one. I’m just not about it. Another one bites the dust. Best believe I’ll be eating up the next book about my man Gabe tho ♥️♥️

The banter, the tension, the spice, the slow burn. I WAS LIVING FOR ALL OF IT. Rafe and Penny are the most charismatic couple in this series and I'll forever stand by that. This was so much more fun than I remembered
