Loved this book! The imagery is so vivid that I truly felt as if I was right there in the circus. The ending is a bit anti-climactic but by then I was in love with all the other characters and didn't want it to end!

Edited 2016 - I just listened to this in audiobook and it was great fun. I still think the ending is a bit of a letdown but I loved the characters and the narration was really good.

UTTERLY ENCHANTING AND MAGICAL

Captivating romance and you descend into this world of le cirque.  I can smell the candied apples already and popcorn already.

That was GORGEOUS. The vibes of the book were as mysterious and etherial as the circus itself, leading you slowly along the plot with breadcrumbs that became more and more numerous as the book progressed and the world built itself. I loved the writing style, the character building, all of it.

My expectations were so high for this, but I feel disappointed.

This is the kind of book that all falls into place right at the end, however it made it quite difficult to get through as the book just didn’t flow very well.

The actual concept of the book was great, and there were snippets that kept me wanting more, but there were so many dates, so many locations and so many POVs to keep track of that it was difficult to keep going. It was almost a DNF for me but I’m glad I powered through because when it all fell into place I enjoyed it.

I loved the ending, there was a moment I thought it might take a different turn but the way it ended was perfect for this book.

Let me know if you’ve read this and what your thoughts were.
