Beautifully written and skillfully plotted, but man, it’s sad. Layers of pain that this family can’t stop inflicting on one another. I definitely want to read Dennis-Benn’s latest book now.

This book was amazing and raw, with excellent emotional story-telling. It was also heartbreaking and at times very upsetting. However, every tragic turn felt realistic and earned. 

I want to put this on a required reading list for anyone who visits beach resorts around the world.

I'd recommend looking up content warnings before reading OR just being aware that this book tackles some difficult stuff. However, the story is gripping and beautifully told. The narrator was wonderful as well.
