The pirate treasure hunt took me out of the story several times.

Another enjoyable installment. I liked the treasure map/pirate theme.

I really like this series. In this one, Lindsey confronts modern day "pirates" looking for treasure on the Thumb Island and an ex-boyfriend who keeps hounding her to get back together. Plenty of adventure, a good mystery, and romantic entanglements. I really hope she can resolve her relationship problems very soon! My heart hurt a bit at the end of this one. I need to get my hands on the next one asap!

I'm getting more invested in the town & the characters. The mystery was fun but a little overdramatic.

This was the first book I've read by Jenn McKinlay and it won't be the last. I fell in love with the characters. Lindsay is loving life. She has a great job, a great boyfriend, and a great town to live in. Then enters a group of treasure hunters and her ex-fiance. And life takes a few twists and turns. I can't wait to read more in this series.

Third book in the series and while I still enjoy the characters, I'm not too enamored of the mystery itself. Too many random out of town suspects . On a weird side note, the blurb on the back says that Lindsay's neighbor Charlie is a chief suspect and that's why she gets involved. At no point is he ever considered a suspect so that was a bit confusing.
